One of the things worrying the clan was, Xanatos knew they were still willing to act against him if they felt it was necessary. Their truce with him was extremely fragile. Xanatos was grateful to them for saving his son, but they didn't know how long his gratitude would last if they continued to disrupt his schemes.
"Hudson and Lex left to protect the stone from Xanatos," Brooklyn pointed out. "Xanatos can't be happy they got in his way."

Elisa agreed with Brooklyn. Goliath also knew there was a sense in what Brooklyn was saying, but since he was a father himself, he was a little more optimistic about Xanatos's ability to change (not that he believed he had changed entirely). "I know we can't push our luck with Xanatos," Goliath said. "But that is exactly why I do not wish to confront him about Hudson and Lexington, not without proof he has harmed them. For the time being, Xanatos is the reason we have our home and protection from the Quarrymen. Starting a fight with him unnessarily is too dangerous."
