Well Goliath, Elisa, Bronx, and Angela did help Save Macbeth from Demona and Thailog, and maybe he feels confident towards the Clan now since he tried to Stand up for them on the Gargoyles debate on NightWatch

He did send Hudson and Lex off with Griff a few days ago in the timeline, maybe he felt confident enough to leave them knowing they were safe with Griff's clan and the mission was over?

MacBeth and Arthur THINK the Stone arrived in Edinburgh, but it is not what it seems. Xanatos secretly switched the Stone by pushing a button. The shoebox was just a diversion from the "real action" as Xanatos would call it. Duval hasn't even realized that Xanatos has duped them. But I think the Illuminati is far more concerned with Arthur's awakening, so Xanatos is the least of their worries. They also don't know that Elisa awakened him and it will probably be awhile before they figure that out.
